ITT: Great moments from otherwise shitty shows.

This. Shinn finally made use of the combination gimmick a la Victory and he put Kira in his place. Shame about Kira hijacking the series afterwards, but for that one fight, it was satisfying.

>>14483718
I pretend that the show ended right there.
I wouldn't call Macross Frontier shitty, but its final battle was a hell of a lot better than it had any right to be given the entire rest of the show before it
>>14484023
I second this. I never knew I wanted a Macross vs Macross fight before>>14484023
>>14483704
It was satisfying to finally see Kira lose.
>>14483684
SEED and Destiny ere solid though

>It was at this moment, Kira knew, he fucked up.
>>14485050
>SEED and Destiny ere solid though
No
Shit, Shinn beating Jesus might just be the highpoint of all of Seed and Seed Destiny combined. If only it had stuck.

I liked to believe that the Kira after the Impulse vs Freedom fight was in fact some sort of Phantom Pain/Venom Snake-style doppelganger hypnotised and genetically altered to resembling and thinking he's the real Kira but in reality he's just a puppet for Lacus and that blind priest to control.
Why the blind priest, because I never trust a anime character who always has his eyes closed.
>>14485115
>Implying the Kira that piloted the Freedom wasn't the first doppelganger
>>14485115
I prefer to think that Lacus and the blind priest have a secret cloning facility and just pop out a new Kira every time the current one dies.
>>14485126
But the first clone was obviously the one that woke up at PLANT after the Strike vs. Aegis fight. It all fits, man.
>>14483684
Don't lie to me, until they remastered that scene it was all still shots
>>14485205
I mean, how else could you survive two nukes point blank.
>>14485218
Two?
>>14485268
In the Aegis and Strike fight, he survives a point blank nuke and a near point blank in the Freedom Impulse fight.
>>14483704
The fight sucked, it was pew pew with about 2 seconds of cool moves from Shinn. But as Gundam fights go it's pretty bad.
It wasn't stock footage unlike everything else from Destiny so that tricks you into thinking it's better than it really is, nor is the set up for the fight even that great. Kira decides to be helpful to the majority for the first time in the show and Shinn wants to kill him for it because he's more attached to his crazy girlfriend than the entire population of Berlin.
Unless you just have such a hate boner for Kira that seeing him lose under any circumstances makes you happy this is not a good scene at all.
>>14485115
>Why the blind priest, because I never trust a anime character who always has his eyes closed.
You shouldn't say things like that, anon.
Now I ain't saying Thunderbolt's a shitty show, but it's a shitty show.
But these Zeeks getting beam sabered and having literally just nothing left of them was great.
>>14485525
They could've just shot them you know. I mean if they weren't planning on taking them alive or talking them down...
>>14485525
Tactical beam saber action
Isn't stuff like that camera transmitting supposed to be impossible due to minovsky particle interference though?
>>14485562
Contact Link. That's why he had to stick it to the hull. It's also why they were celebrating that they got it in one go.
>>14485525
Whats the context of this scene? Who were the people that got incinerated and the other two less generic characters near them?
>>14485555
To be fair getting incinerated by a beam saber seems like it would be a quicker death than getting riddled by bullets and bleeding out
>>14483684
>>14485584
All you need to know is that they were Zeeks and they deserve what they got. In fact, that was TOO good for them. I wish they were made to suffer more first. Like somehow make the incineration take three or four hours. Or just good ol' fashion beat them to death. No no, rape all four of them, then beat them to within an inch of death, then beam saber them. I wish the Guncannon had the good sense to squish Karla in its hand but good things never happen twice in a row.
>>14485627
A Zaku II with a beam rifle?
>>14485635
It's a gun emplacement.
