To be honest, I'm not exactly a fan of the red shoulder bits.
I'm really a fan of ol Barby being mostly white and black with some slight red bits.
I hope those arent integral to the HG and I can simply remove them. Maybe I'd paint them.

Gusion Rebake was hard to swallow, but I learned to get past it's kangaroo legs and embrace the cool ass repurposed armor shield and additional arms...but this fucker is just so ugly to me.

I mean, it's an ass shield again and you'll probably be able to position the sub arm pods again. It looks a little more solid which I kind of like but I'll admit I'm not sold on the colors. Maybe in hand or from different angles it will look better?

What exactly is the point of a curved kopesh like sword? The outer edge is sharpened, but it curves so much it uses more material than needed. Wouldn't just a scimitar make more sense?

I loved the extra arms on the old one and the weapons/shield, but the color, weird legs, and dumb dick name ruined it for me. "Stock" Gusion was miles better, love that chunky toad.

"Mk. II" would have been better if they couldn't give it an actual name.
I don't understand the Ritter sword. The series starts and they talk about how the armor makes projectiles pretty ineffective, the ablative armor is also hard to cut, so you get axes, maces, mallets, halbreds, and machetes. I was fine with all that. When Barbatos got a katana *shrug* superior Nippon steel folded 10000 times, whatever he wasn't good with it until going overdrive mode and mostly used it as a shitty club or can opener. When he levels up his neural uplink I figure sure the boosted connection and extra power of a gundam suit means he can make the sword work as an actual cutting tool. For the pedo his redgeese had magic metal super swords, and that's fine too since he still used them as blugens a lot and they rather roughly pierced armor.
When it comes to the Ritter suit though what is that mass produced suit going to do with a mass produced lightweight sword? I just don't get it.
I say give not-Guts a Dragon Slayer to use with his Gusion Vishnu and go back to making sense. I liked the lack of beam weapons and big ugly blunt force trauma weapons of the series, and don't want to see it all develop into thin bladed sword fights with the only difference from any other Gundam series being that they aren't beams.

How can you have knights without swords? Considering how Carta was of the most prominent family of the Seven Stars, I'm sure her men had custom Grazes as well as access to better tech. Unfortunately, due to the way IBO played out, We have no idea if the Ditter's sword is made of the same material as the Graze axe, and we can't say much more than "It Just Works."
It would have been nice to have something like the heat weapons the Zeon suits used though, especially as a weapon for a higher end unit like Carta's Ritter. And what was up with the Valkyrja's yellow swords? You mention the special metal But again, it's not like they behaved any differently than other weapons. Hell, that would have been a good time to introduce heat weapons.

When the Grim's gunpla leaked I saw the blades and immediately thought, heat saber, which was great for me because I love a good Zeon heat weapon...but alas it was magic metal. They just say they were made of a super rare metal/alloy that is even stronger than gundam armor, whatever that means.
I would have preferred heat weapons.

Is that an epee stashed in those skirt bits? If that is a gundam with a epee that swaps out blades after they break using the extras stored in those skirts, or heats them up in those skirts so the thin sword can pierce then consider me erect.
Love it when MS swap out replacement parts like barrels in the Zaku 1 sniper's beam rifle.

Yeah, that was a huge failure on that part. They decided to make up bullshit about MS having special armor that rendered most projectiles useless except for the heaviest guns and/or fired at the shortest range, but then also decided that said armor could be defeated really easily by bashing it with medieval-style weapons.
Seriously, heat melee or something anti-armor spikes would have been useful and made somewhat more sense than "HIT IT HARDER". Like the Ein Graze drill melee.. if they were actual drills instead of improvised spinning limb ends.

I'm having trouble getting into the side story. The plot isn't even established yet, the character designs aren't great (harry potter scar, the suits are cool but the fights poorly drawn, and the dialogue is literal fedora tipping.

One of the characters was called "Daddy Ted" I guess he was a father figure for Harry Potter scar engineer kid and literal father to bad-bitch kinda princess young girl.
Why the author thought it was a good idea is beyond me, but the manga also gave us a top hat Hyakuren and the MC yelling about taking off your hat.

I like the red shoulders, and I've been a supporter of the heels, but the foot somehow looks too big, heel or no heel.
