What does /m/ think of Argevollen?
>>14463627
I enjoyed it. Was hoping for a second season to dismantle evilwar-starting corporations.
Also, 10/10 screaming.
absolutely terrible
Only really watched it for Jamie...
I liked the green
Fitting robo-check is fitting
>>14463680
>tfw lost most of my Jamie pics
>>14463680
Jamie was by and away the worst aspect of this show. That's saying a lot.
>>14463742
But she was cute.
Not my thing but I totally appreciate it for sticking to its guns and not putting on airs to be something it's not.
I loved it.
Good characters and great action.
To quote Kou Uraki, "it's remarkable at being unremarkable".
It wasnt bad but it wasnt amazing either. It's a solid 6 or OK out of 10. I liked the chunky grunt mechs but felt the Argevollen itself was out of place. I doubt I'll rewatch it again but I'm not mad that I watched it all the way through.
>>14463627
What was the deal with those women who orgasmed from getting massages?
>>14463826
It was like Xebec's ecchi side suddenly took over for just 1 episode
I thought it was pretty bad. (I rated it the same as I rated GReco.)
The show couldn't seem to figure out what it was trying to do and the MC was weak and annoying.
>>14463877
>The show couldn't seem to figure out what it was trying to do
>MC was weak and annoying
I don't understand the first point, the second one is resolved by the time the shows ends but the first is completely false.
Argevollen was a mecha show that knew exactly what it was doing from start to finish, the show was about the development process of a secret weapon and the people and events surrounding it.
>>14463627
It's decent.
>>14463627
It was mediocre. It tried to give a Front Mission-like experience but failed misserably, to the point where they had to fill the gaps of the cast with moe-pandering.
>>14464029
>Argevollen was a mecha show that knew exactly what it was doing from start to finish,
Is that why it took them 15 episodes to get even remotely interesting? Yeah no.
>>14463826
It was one of the shows understated comedy bits. Like when MC asked Jamie if she liked him. They were sprinkled throughout the entire series and they were great.
>>14463627
The closest thing to ever getting a Front Mission anime.
Aside from that one Armored Core/Front Mission Chinese PLA propaganda comic and cartoon.
Still mad how they pissed all over Samonji
The show itself is 5/10
>>14463627
Shitty female lead
>>14463627
It was nice.
>>14464434
>it took them 15 episodes to get even remotely interesting?
yes because it wasn't trying to be flashy or overdone,it was a more straightforward and tame work,if you didn't like it that kind of thing just isn't for you,I'll admit it had some pacing issues but nothing to break the show.
>tfw no trail kreiger kits
I didn't really like the main mecha, or its counter part. I didn't hate them, I just didn't find them as interesting as the grunt units.
And boy, that ending sure was an... ending. Yeah.
>>14463798
>Good characters
I enjoyed it, knew what it wanted to do and did it. Good animation throughout and Jaimie was cute.
>>14463627
Really liked it. Still re-watch it from time to time.
>>14463708
There aren't that many pics around so it's relatively easy to rebuild the gallery.
>>14468082
I feel you.
>>14463708
Honestly, it was a wierd show. Showed glimpses of excellent writing and interesting characters on occasions, only to bury it under nothing happening for multiple episodes.
The conspiracy-plot was kinda weak as well and they straight up didn't follow up on some of the side-plots they hinted at from episode one onwards.
The scout was best boy in any case.

>>only to bury it under nothing happening for multiple episodes.
>>The conspiracy-plot was kinda weak as well and they straight up didn't follow up on some of the side-plots they hinted at from episode one onwards.
They were clearly counting on having a S2 at one point in the future.
>>14472876
Just another "also aired" show like Buddy Complex, Innocent Venus or Soukou no Strain.
>>14463627
>Oh, there you are anon, in your birthday suit. You swee, my tea is lacking in sugar. Would you make way Appleton-san to take some sugar from your stick?
>>14475215
At the very least Argevollen did break some records on the "Shows that Sold the Lowest" list.
That gotta count for something.
>>14463877
>I thought it was pretty bad.
>I rated it the same as I rated GReco.
Conflicting statements right there, buddy
>>tfw no new fanart in like... Ever.
Kinda boring.
The CGI mechs and backgrounds make it look like something from the early 2000s.
>>14483908
I kinda liked the backgrounds. They were a nice throwback for me.
>>14463627
Soldier with Lipstick
>>14467986
>I'll admit it had some pacing issues but nothing to break the show.
>15 episodes doing nothing
>doesn't break the show
Argevollen apologists are the worst.
>>14489248
>24 episodes long
>big bad fails to kill a single person
>still gets a second season
Gundam apologists are the worst
>>14489254
>anybody apologizing for Iron Nothing Orphans
nice try
>>14475198
But unlike Fafner, it sold shit.
It would be better to create another original than doing a sequel for something that didn't sell.
>>14489318
>But unlike Fafner, it sold shit.
Well it was pretty bad for most episodes.
>>14489269
That applies to every Gundam though
>>14489373
No it doesn't shitposter-kun
>>14463627
What's Meowmori doing in a mecha show?
>>14489248
And those who obsessively bash at it are no better.
>>14489373
That applies to me fucking your mommie though
>>14490168
>>Meowmori
Who?
