It's basically a minmaxed Mazinger to the point that it's the strongest Mazinger ever and absolutely no other Mazinger can beat it. Even if you pulled out some bullshit original donut steal Mazinger that wipes out dimensions in a heartbeat it'd still be stronger than that just because it's a Mazinger type.
Easier to think of it in RPG terms where you've minmaxed your mage to being the strongest fire user ever to the point it takes no damage from fire and it one shots every other fire user and has damage bonuses against other fire users on top. But it turns out the endgame almost everything is immune to fire and nothing uses it as a attack type.
Doesn't make much sense (since when did anything Go Nagai related make sense?) but that is kind of what we're talking about.

Two pilot Supers that have a bit less armor than their L size would make you hope but have fairly substantial attack power, pilot stats focused on defense so with a bit of money you can make them defend fine.

I wouldn't say they were "classified" as anything. Big O's a ludicrously powerful tank in Z - less so in D because Supers in D generally had really low armor - but that's true to show, its arm shields got damaged literally one time and aside from its joints it's a pretty damn tough robot.
In Dai Guard's debut it starts with shit stats, then quickly gets better Armor as soon as they took off the for-show Zinc armor, and then later gets good enough armor to properly defend against attacks, which it then retained in every other appearance since Dai Guard was only in four games and they were all sequels. Its original main hook was a wide variety of high ammo moves and Resupply, which with its three pilots let it be a fairly self sufficient supporter on the frontlines, and the fact that the main pilot got Soul (so did Roger Smith since Big O was part of the subject) meant it could hit with the best of them. Then Z3-1 got rid of a lot of its old moves as it switched to having the Great Knot Punisher on at all times and it was apparently quite a bad nerf.
