As it currently stands, I don't believe we have a Constitutional grounding for secession, but should that ever become a thing, I'd support it as we have the economy to manage it. In the meantime, I think most of us still consider ourselves equal parts Texan and American.

Actually Texas is the only state that still has the right. Originally all states had, on paper at least, the option of seceding but that changed during/after the Civil War. The wording of that change, however, technically leaves Texas out since it was a country before joining the United Sates, not just a colony or territory.
Of course I don't imagine it would actually be an amicable separation. Texas would probably be retained by force or the combined threats of cessation of federal funding and trade embargo.
The federal government is, after all, far more powerful now than it was the last time stated tried to secede.

No, when we rejoined the the Union we waived it. And SCOTUS during the Civil War ruled that secession was never actually legal for states in the first place--regardless of wording.
