Where does E-frames stand next to the rest of /m/? What is its weight class? I can see it taking mobile suit and in squads take on ships.

It's been a long time since I watched that, but I don't remember them being all that powerful. Especially being as small as it is, it's gonna be toast after one beam. Their weapons were GI Joe-tier, mostly lasers and missiles which did only moderate background damage whenever they missed a target and hit the scenery.
You could probably swarm an MS with them because they're small and harder to hit, but one-on-one they're going to fall a little short of UC tech.
>>14443933
>>14443944
They do feel like a glass cannon when compared to a mobile suit, but does seem to carry a decent amount of fire power and leave a planet under its own power.
>>14443910
They are powered armors.
>>14443944
>Their weapons were GI Joe-tier
Speaking of, they basically made a couple of Exo-Frames for GI Joe.
>>14443910
They're probably on the level of Armored Troopers, possibly a little stronger given their maneuverability. >>14443944
is probably right IMO.
Exosquad was apparently quite ta/k/ti/k/al and whatnot. There was a lot of emphasis on recon, combined arms, and not being a fucking retard that charges the enemy blindly.

Replace American with Japanese and you have 95% of everything else ever talked about on this board, anon.

>>14445558
I'm pretty sure that actually is a retool of an Exo-Squad toy. The legs and cockpit look like Bronski's E-Frame to me. The arms are different, but the positioning of the pistons and the hand grips is the same as the Exo-Squad toys were.
>>14446183
Exo Squad was Playmates. G.I. Joe was Hasbro. So, I'd call that unlikely.
>>14446232
The Exo-Squad molds have turned up in other places. Are you sure that they didn't just let the copyrights lapse?
>>14446091
>he says on the board literally spawned from and consisting mostly of Gundam
> he says on a Cantonese coffee cream design discussion board
I mean it technically does belong here but just sayin'.
>>14446272
i saw them a bout 6-7 years a go u can tell the molds are worn out
>>14443933
You realize mecha anime that aren't glorified toy/plamo commercials are the extreme minority, right?
You don't seriously think mecha anime creators are actually in it for any kind of artistic merit, do you?
Also the Exo Squad toys kicked ass, when I was a kid I had a ton of them before I even knew the show existed.

Kill yourself.
>>14446272
Copyrights don't just "lapse" in such a short time.
>It's an "Americans get triggered because someone mentioned their country in a negative context in any way shape or form" thread.
Exosquad was an uncommonly well written and voice acted show with typical american terrible art direction.
the toys were decent.
>>14447318
Had it continued, Playmates would've added Macross Destroids & Regults to the line, thanks to a planned tie-up with Harmony Gold.
And then, there was this thing which helped spark the whole mess between HG & FASA.
>>14447318
Exo Squad was pretty ahead of its time, honestly. 'murica just wasn't ready for kids shows that didn't treat kids like idiots yet.
Since these days there are way more... I dunno a good word, maybe "cerebral?", doesn't talk down to children and actually have substance kids television shows, I think it'd be received a hell of a lot better these days.
>>14447318
AKOM being one of the main studios animating the episodes sure didn't help make it look good.
>>14447349
Young me is still very upset that never came to be.
So, who here got the toys for this show? I have J.T. Marsh's command e-frame, Maggie's repair e-frame and a Neosapien command e-frame (don't remember who it was for)
>>14447349
No "would've." I still have an old Excalibur/Tomahawk/Warhammer, and used to have both Invid Shocktrooper toys.
>>14443944
As in many things, consistency varied. As mentioned before, they could reach orbit under their own power and were generally a threat to even capital ships.
Then you had outliers like Bronski's upgraded Plasma Launcher, which blasted boulders the size of other E-Frames, and Marsh's Solar Flare, which vaporized an admittedly tiny part of a mountain (caught it on the edge of the flare) with no loss in power.
Just as you think it had a decent epilogue they give us a stupid sequel hook with aliens. The show was then cancelled.
>>14449192
I have Nara's recon E-Frame. Stupid me sold the rest that I had.
>>14454103
What did you had before you sold off most of your collection?
>>14454103
I have JT Marh's E-Frame, Bronski's E-Frame, and Marsala's...robot? I forget what it was called. They're all busted up as shit because I actually played with them as a kid and they have that classic, "wing broken off because it was thrown in a box by someone who didn't care," damage, but I've still got them, for whatever that's worth.
Over father's day I helped one of my nephew's transform my frame that was the main characters but also turned into a bike. Also helped him with Optimus primal. Bless my grandparents for passing down my old toys.
Exosquad needs a Netflix reboot.
>>14455314
I remember "Centurions" more than Exo-Squad and really dug the idea of the modular frames.
- but then I also love Thunderbirds. - 2 and 4 mostly.
Bronski really grew on me. I like that he's the grizzled veteran who's so skilled that they keep him on despite him being personally repulsive. Apparently, his machine is also really complex and can't be handled by nubs (they run out of ammo too soon).
>>14455911
Bronski is best.

Sortof like a tricked out scopedog, I guess.
Given a choice, would you take a e-frame or would you go for a mobile suit, power armor, etc.?
>>14457576
Cyberjack? I remember the connector being called neurolink.
>>14467436
Given a choice I'd pick something interstellar so I could explore space. I'm not even sure there are many meths capable of intellstellar travel on their own. Even Marcross stuff requires a separate fold drive, bar the Draken. And the Stargazer is very inefficient. Probably the 00, simply because it can communicate with species past a language barrier as well as travel efficiently.
>>14447349
Actually they did add the toys to the line, that's how I had most of them iirc.
Had an Zentradi Battlepod, Officers Pod, that armor they had, and a bunch of invid shit. I loved it.
