After finishing the first part of Megazone 23 I thought it was really good. In the first couple of seconds I was hooked.
I started the second part but during the first 12 minutes I was just bored and disappointed by where it was going. Is it worth continuing? Does it get better later in it?

Part 2 gets pretty fun towards the middle part, Part 3 is just ok but I think its worth watching everything.

2 isn't a particularly good sequel but is ok on its own I guess.
3's main problem is that it's boring, but it's by far the best of the three for actual robot action - the Garland gets to DO THINGS before it is destroyed!

It is boring though, that is true.
As for II, definitely watch it whole. The level of animation is exceptional.
