I would check out FSS is I were you. Under the 'mecha' section of Gears Online there is a nine page detail of the structure and skeleton of a mortarheadd.
Fascinating to read, I'd say its my own personal choice for best internals.
I'm adding AT VOTOMS. The designs are very nice, best part of it is the cockpit integration
