So, I just finished Godannar and it was pretty damn cool. I also enjoyed Gravion/Gravion Zwei. Are there any other "new" super robot shows you would recommend? As in not part of a long-running series like Mazinger or Getter. How is Daimidaler?
Talk about these shows here as well, like how it was NOT OKAY that Kouji didn't have enough screen time.
Daimidaler was pretty fucking awful. It had like two jokes, both of which it thoroughly ran into the ground and no one in the cast was remotely likable. The Penguin Empire could be pretty funny, but they were about all the show had.
Watch Dai Guard and read the Demonbane VN instead.

I've seen and loved LODM, I think it's one of the best MOTW shows.
I'll look into Dai Guard, and I plan to watch OG Dancouga and Nova later this year.

Kotetsushin Jeeg. Sure, the CGI is dodgy, but the 2-D animation's mostly consistent enough. Plus it's not actually a true sequel, since many elements are changed from the original Kotetsu Jeeg manga/anime.
