Don't know what it is about this shot but the proportions always felt "off" to me. In promo-images/gunpla etc I rather like the Destiny, but in-series it feels kinda like they just squeezed the model to make it thinner or something.
I'll be taking those wings back.

Not really fond of it's color scheme, weapons or parts of it's design personally. Those shoulder mounted beam boomerangs annoy me because they give it an ugly shape for one. That one shouty guy who made a one hour video about redesigning it might be an annoying douche, but his commissioned design is better looking I think. Though I don't like the folding cannon he had made either.

It's somewhat off model in a lot of the animation. Okawara's line art was also pretty bad to begin with. Destiny looks much better in gunpla/art/games because the proportions and details get adjusted.

The Impulse is just a worse copy of the Strike in most respects. There's several suits that I think are better, like the Freedom, Saviour, Testament, Stargazer, the base Astrays. And that's just Gundams. Not even allow 'em.

Impulse is a Victory/Strike hybrid.
Destiny is a V2/Perfect Strike hybrid.
ZAKUs are a Zaku II/Strike hybrid.
ZAFT must've really loved the Strike.

It really hit me that we never truly get to see Turn demonstrate its power.

To be fair, the Perfect Strike didn't even exist as a real design and was really just an idea they reused for Destiny. The ZAKU's only real part of it was having modular packs too, which isn't really a part of the Strike itself, so much as an idea the Strike used too.
