Uh that's fucking bullshit? When Seed and 00 came out the model kits weren't released the same week the episode aired nor event the same month. In some cases the model finally came out when the god damn pilot died.

I'd be content just getting another AU which lasts more than one series + movie. Midseason/series breaks don't count either. Like with stuff such as Precure, I'm just burning out on the standard series lasting 40-some episodes then comes an entirely new universe and character set thing.

People keep going on about how great the lack of beamspam is, but I find that to be a farce. Yes, it's different but the results are the same. Mika is still one-shotting mooks left and right while his machine is barely getting scratched. I would go as far as to say the fights become weaker because of this, since it feels like all Mika has to do is Leeroy Jenkins. Sure, the damage may be more brutal but the fights just aren't tense as when a single killshot can come from anywhere.
And that's IBO in a nutshell, it tries to look tough and badass when it's not.
