The director just finished working on the Accel World Movie and after Love Live Sunshine, Studio 8 still hasn't announced any new projects, so there's still hope.
Unless Accel World Infinite Burst does very well at the box office and Sunrise chooses to do a second season for the anime.

It's a story about how some post-singularity transhumans are pissy about the whole immortality, neigh-godlike control over their virtual world thing and want meat bodies again. There's another faction that's really happy with being transhuman and they fight in unreasonable ways for pointless reasons.
Most of the drama is incredibly stupid once you think about it for more than 5 seconds. It's also one of the shows where I really wanted the main cast to lose because they were fucking stupid.
