F91 had it's issues, but I think everyone can agree that the Crossbone Vanguard was cool. It's a shame that F91 got such bad treatment because it could have been a lot better as an OVA with some tweaked elements.

Super Robot Wars has the Crossbone Gundam quite often, even the new game has one.

Anyway, in regards to the OP statement:

It's a bit disappointing that Sunrise is catering to fans instead of trying to invite new watchers of Gundam. It really limits innovation and original stories.

Do young kids even watch Gundam anymore or has it become a niche that older fans only enjoy? Sunrise is like an old man stuck in the past that can't even cater to young audiences.
