It's probably functionally no different than Specter's, but at least now Necrom has a weapon of his own that isn't form-dependent.

Fucking weird episode, Akari & Onari are cute together though. Doesn't look like Taikawa's face role won't be showing up again, which is a shame.

I think they're counting on that. We only saw Sanzo once and it was barely a fight, and having the powers of the whole crew also means it should be absurdly fucking broken and thus strong enough to give the Ganmeisers more reason to acknowledge him than "oh and that guy's there too".

They can become visible if they feel like it, but, yeah, this also happened in Sakamoto's last episodes. It kind of makes me wonder how much control the director has over the plot. I thought it was mostly on the flow and choreography of the fighting scenes, but this invisibility stuff seems to point to a bigger role.
In the opening narration Takeru says he's only got 25 days left but the subs say 28.

It's not like he forgot, there's a scene right at the start of the episode where Igor is watching the idols while invisible. My guess is having to do the Shiranui song and dance would have affected the pacing in a way he didn't like.
