Tsubasa doesn't get any spotlight. She's there to tie shit together, but none of the hype moments in the show involve her doing anything other than maybe telling someone else what to do. It's like saying Captain Global got all the spotlight in Macross.
Yes, the plot points all revolve around her or Ashura, and that's absolutely fine since without her, Shin would have just been the Mazinkaiser OVA all over again. If you want to give Mazinger an overarching plot, you have to come up with something to give it one because the connections aren't there already.

What about Juuzou? The Kurogani Five? Shiro's waifu? The whole thing with the Kedoras and the Greek-flavored mythology? Did all that just dissapear because a lady was in the show and was important to its plot?

If you're trying to summarize a show in a WEG, you completely missed the point. The "what I got" box isn't for an exhaustive summary of the entire show, it's for something indicating how the series defied your expectations.
