Are there any series with combined arms within the mechs?
As in, the show has many different styles of mecha (within the same side) that work together to cover each others weaknesses?
Like, where you've got small, quick mecha running scout for large, hard-hitting mecha?

Any Macross that puts Destroids to use has that. Hell, even 7 kind of had that with the distinction between the Sound Force and the regular army
