Gonna get a lot of shit for suggesting Unicorn. Since it's cool to hate on it. But the way I see it, psychoframe suits have an edge, but its a big question mark, noone understands it. But it moved AXIS. The gundam that was the ultimate expression of psychoframe is unicorn (or banshee, take your pick) and then they stopped making them. If you remove the whole psychoframe from the equation though, obviously V2 takes it.

That's irrelevant - space has next to no friction. As long as you keep stomping on the gas and don't enter any gravity wells - you'll just keep accelerating until a handy percentage of C, determined by your Mass. Regardless if the object is a gendum or a barn with rockets attached.

Almost certainly a good deal faster than the F91 considering that the Gottratan can output 102350kg of thrust, the Rig Contio can output 99600kg of thrust, the Gengaozo can output 150780kg of thrust and the Zanneck can output 164220kg of thust.
It also definitely has a lot higher acceleration, at 20G max, compared to the F91s 4.4G. It does have less thrusters and apogee motors though, at 42 to the F91's 51/59. I don't think that means it's definitely more agile/maneuverable though to be honest, since sometimes advances mean you can do more with less and thus need less. It might be, but I wouldn't say that vernier count proves it, same as the thruster output numbers almost certainly don't reflect the V2's complete output.

Also, given that Thunderbolt's author has said that Banrise talked to him about making a manga and he only agreed to do it on certain conditions it's likely Banrise always intended to animate it, same as Unicorn was always intended to be an OVA, even before the first novel was commissioned.

They'd abandoned the ~15m mobile suit idea prominent in Late UC within 40 years, given that the RGM-196 Freedom (an 18m suit) was around before UC0200. I mean Ok, basing anything off the weirdness that was G-Saviour is suspect, but the facts stand that for whatever reason Victory/Victory 2 as design concepts are abandoned within decades. Granted, you could argue that the modular nature of the frames is still present in the G-Saviour, and I think that's a legitimate legacy as far as those suits go.
