I almost felt like this was the opposite of Infinity. We got three different fight scenes in which Mugen used four different finishers: compare Infinity, which choreographed one fight scene and used it beat-for-beat for the whole rest of the show.

Can I just say this was probably one of the worst introductions to a final form powerup KR has ever done?

I thought it was pretty hype. He went through a bunch of fights in it, showed off several of its abilities and substantially moved the plot forwards, especially the bit about how the Ganmeisers are no longer obeying Adel's commands and just doing whatever they want. The only other final form intro that advanced the plot this significantly was Putotyra Combo.
Cosmic States is still the king of most hype intro fight, it's going to be hard for anyone to top that, but Kiwami, really? Kiwami's intro fight is pretty short and mostly consists of smacking Demushu around for a little bit with each of the weapons. There's a lot of later fights that make much better use of it than the intro does.

The thing that bugs me about the debut in episode 33 is it wasn't tied in better with episode 31 and 32, episodes that were also written by Keiichi Hasegawa, and still had Katsuya Watanabe as director.

The one piece of Mugen's suit that bothers me the most is the shoulder pauldrons. They just kind of clash with the rest of the armor. I get the veil over the face and the long coat from a symbolic standpoint, but not those huge shoulders.

There was a magazine that said Necrom would be getting a power up. Two silhouettes shown there turned out to be Ghost's movie forms, so the final one must be Necrom's, although people had been guessing that it'd be Specter's.

It never got good, I tried giving it another chance during the Maurice shit storm because I figured there has to be something of value in this show to make a fat black kid go bonkers over it, but it never really improved. Takeru remained the worst rider MC of all time, the side characters are still awful, the suit design in general is awful outside of the base forms, the show is noticeably lower budget than the rest of the series, the fight choreography is awful, writing is bad even for a kids show, the only redeeming aspects of this shit heap are Alain and the few Sakamoto directed episodes.
