It was a fun ride, but you'll burn out at Victory and/or at Wing/X.
My pro-tip: get a break after G so you can keep the memory of one of the best Gundam show fresh and pure instead of suffering through Wing (especially the 2nd half).

Turn A is a stand alone story. When I watched Turn A, the only Gundams I had watched through were 8th MS team and SEED. I got Turn A just fine.
Turn A's Gundam references are light, and you can watche whole series without needing to know things like why Harry Ord is wearing glasses that obscure his face, or why it's funnt that someone thought pic related was a custom model.
It's a solid show, one of my favorite anime in fact, and I would suggest it to a number of people here.
