They never did anything interesting with the molestation concept, so the joke got old really quick. Second half of the show was slightly better; the new girl and her boyfriend's shenanigans didn't get quite as stale because they didn't get as much time in the spotlight and they did more interesting stuff with it (by making the guy a purityfag and then turning him into a penguin), but it still was getting a little old by the time the show ended
There were two things that never got old: the penguin empire and that fucking theme song

As soon as they introduced the school shit I lost all hope of Guilty Crown being good.
Kinda the same with Macross Frontier. Think the first episode is the closest the franchise has gotten to Gundam in a good way, but once the love triangle takes the center stage it goes to shit. I know, "It's Macross it has to have one!", no it fucking doesn't. Seven shoved it's love triangle to the side for the whole series, and SDF balanced it's way better than Frontier ever did. But now I'm getting side tracked.
