Honestly, I prefer the slimmer limbs on the MG. I prefer thinking of the FAG less as an RX-78 with armor and more of a holistic design. Having a gimped suit inside the armor feels more appropriate for early UC tech. I mean, just look at the Alex and the Chobham armor, it looks primitive as fuck in comparison to the FAG but the Alex gets to be a fully suit.

the manga color scheme has white kneecaps on the outer armor. That's the only major color scheme change. There's a shit ton of changes though in proportion and shapes of objects though.
