No, but it's great. Both the manga and the anime. Just because we love mecha doesn't mean everything we love has to be mecha.

It's got UFO, mecha sometimes and crazy weapons. Pretty much things similar to series like Outlaw Star, Yamato, and other sci-fi.

It is very /m. Not so much the manga, but definitely the anime, I think the animators got bored and threw a bunch of /m stuff in.

Keroro has a UY reference, the manga spelled it out more clearly as Lum, but the anime called her something else.

The Keroro manga is pretty direct with the references. The anime in the first year or two seemed to fear getting sued, but afterwards they loosen up.

There was a dub by Animego as well, it didn't go over very well. So they only dubbed the movies when they released them on DVD. They used the series translated title 'Those Obnoxious Aliens'
