Those were great on the go, though they got a little frustrating toward the end because the missions got pretty long. Do you think Nintendo/Intelligent Systems will ever come back to that series, or are they too busy with Waifu Emblem?

Put it this way:
Days of Ruin was to Advance Wars what Awakening was to Fire Emblem. They were made solely because the sales for the series were dropping, and the intent was that these games would be the gauge of interest in the series and the mechanics of the games. Days of Ruin didn't sell. Awakening sold gangbusters.

That's too bad, I actually really liked Days of Ruin, it had a pretty good story. I do feel like it lost some of the charm by going dark and gritty though.

I liked some of the art style of Days of Ruin, but I felt like most of the battle maps were too dark and muddy to be enjoyable to look at while playing. The story felt too similar to Advance Wars 2, especially towards the last few levels against the mad scientist faction.
And Rin was a much better waifu than the generic amnesiac girl.
But the changes to the mechanics, especially resupply and carriers, were really interesting. I liked the way they redesigned most of the units too, especially the air units. It didn't feel as multiplayer or skirmish friendly as the earlier games though.

The only problem with DoR was when it tried to answer questions no one asked, like "how do factories work", because then it would usually forget it cared later. Also Waylon is a right fucker.
Other than that it's great.

There was this GBA game, you controll a white and orange robot flying in some alien planet or something shooting laser at monsters, I borrowed it from a friend ages ago and didn't even check the name of the game. Google isn't helping when I don't even have an idea of what the name might be.
