Just found out about this, it's a short 15-minute OVA from the 80s with pretty sweet mecha animation. Too bad about the recording quality.
Is anyone else aware of this thing's existence? I know it's a Zoids spinoff with some recent kits from Kotobukiya, but I'm surprised an anime was ever even made.

Last I heard it was concurrent to Zoids Battle Story and these Z-Knights had zoid cores insiide them as per the videos (Z as in zoid)

They made a new model of the main Z-Knight recently... Can't say I'm crazy about the Gundamized proportions.

Marine Kaizer is pretty spot-on with the original design. Might pick it up myself someday.
Man, something about these designs seems remarkably modern to me. Dunno what it is, but even considering the revised styling from the Koto kits I would have never guessed it was something from an obscure two decade old OVA. I assumed it was from some smartphone game that I would have never been able to play.

If this got an animation how come the rest of the Zoids line didn't get one earlier? It would have been much better than the CGshit we got later.
