My take on Katejina was that she was someone who didn't deal with negative emotions (or positive ones either really) well from the start and between suppressing those feelings and her Stockholm syndrome with Cronicle after he saves her from rape and whatever cyber newtype shit the Zanscares did to her really messed her up until she literally blinds herself with rage in her last fight with Uso and burnt herself out into the pathetic state she's in at the end.
