There are some really cool/different looking units on that chart like the Eva (Feios) and VAB-2 I'd really like to see more of. The VF-9 Cutlass has a classic styling for Macross, but looks damn good at that type of styling. Has it ever shown up in anything?

well to be fair when he made the chart I think was before episode 4 of Unicorn had come out(possibly even before the OVA started coming out at all, not sure really), and most of the few units out at the point not on the chart were either incredibly obscure, or didn't have art, and as for the speculative development lines, kinda necessary cause otherwise huge portions of the chart would be completely orphaned, plus most of the connections make sense in my opinion

I can confirm Space Battleship Yamato in episode 1, yhe whole Evil Coop episode is like one big gundam reference, and OG megas looks suspiciously like Optimus Prime. Not to mention the totally-not-an-episode-of-transformers episode.
