vanilla Crossbone manga does have Kinkaid in the X-1 and Tobia in the X-3, but skull heart and steel 7 switch Tobia to MC and Kinkaid is left in the dust until fucking Ghost
so if anything, we should be seeing at least the X-1 Skull Heart, Harrison's blue F91, X-1 Full Cloth, Giri's Vigna Gina-F91 mix, the old as fuck F90 and that other mech with a face that the sister of the bad guy from Steel 7 uses

Well I don't know about Seabook but Kincaid is the main pilot of the Crossbone vanguard, we know it has its plot and it can't do that without him. Steel 7 is units only so normal Crossbone and Skull Heart has plot.
However, this could be a case where they put in some unique made post game plot for Crossbone which they have done in the past for series that they didn't list as Units only.
If this is the case then it's entirely possible for some story stages set post Crossbone where Tobia now leads the Crossbone on the X1, leading to Skull Heart, leaving Seabook to be with Cecily in peace.

They've had two games to get used to it, have dev time since at least the end of Z3 to next year, and they have at least one animator (the 00/Crossbone/Unicorn dude) who seems to know what the hell he's doing which just highlights the fact that the rest of them seem to be incompetents getting told to just do whatever.

Not entirely unheard of for a few changes, at least. A Psybuster attack got changed between it's appearance in a 2nd OGs PV and the actual game, and the game version looked better.

Honestly I'll likely enjoy it no matter how it turns out, but it'd be hilarious if V ends up turning most of the doubt on it around and becomes the game people wish Z3 was or something.

What IS important is that they can't bullshit new things. If you want to say Soul Saber FF can make fire out of nothing, or Granteed has a chest drill, you can. If you want to say Mazinger Z has a giant beam saber or Zambot 3 can transform into a giant bird, you can't.

That is even then arguable with Harute's finisher looks in Z3, it's just a mess of random shooting and cutins with no attempt at choreography. It's non-fancy regular attacks are actually pretty good however.

But yeah a lack of experienced animators is a pretty apparent problem at the moment yet they insist on animating beyond their own abilities.

That MAP better be back unchanged in the next one, it's overshadowed because it's in a game with Wing Zero, Turn A and DX but it was my favorite. You just paired him with someone that has Yell+ and an SP regen item then dropped them in the middle of an enemy pack, he dodges everything because he's Kira then you cast mercy which always works because he's Kira, then bring the entire map to 10hp for everyone else to clean up in a single shot because he's packing so many modifiers it ends up +90% crit rate. It was just like the show.

It made much more sense to get him 30 stages in like in 3.1 rather than 7 in .2.

Ah yes, it was a dick move to make the reals be 5000-1000 points points below supers, but I don't see anything wrong with tag tension, is just yet another tool to break the game like any other they gave before such as spirits, and you need an unit with a super powerful post movement with plenty of ammo ALL with the weapons fully upgraded to take advantage of it anyways.

If SRW tried to make games balanced, it should just remove/turbo nerf spirit commands and make upgrades only go at best to 5 bars, because that's the kind of shit that turns the games into easy modo

Not quite, M sized reals were the ones stuck in the 1600 tier.
The problem? Pretty much every super, except Gurren Lagann which is in the 1400 tier, is also in that exact same upgrade tier, the 1900 tier that was basically universal across M sized real barely even exists. And it doesn't stop there, a good number of reals LOSE power going from 3.1 to 3.2, it's especially noticeable with the 00 units, their biggest upgrade (besides Quanta) is getting a whopping +300 base AP to their finishers, after Tengoku substracted 200 from them because I don't know, fuck reals?

I mean for fuck's sake, Durandal's vanilla ISC Maneuver in Saisei was 4700, going to 6600 at 10 upgrades, and 7000 with the FUB, on top of its natural S ranks in sky and space.
In Tengoku? It's like 4600 and caps at fucking 6200, and then it gets ISCM Overdrive, which is literally Saisei's ISC, starts at a 5000 base power, which would be impressive if it weren't for the fact it caps at 6600 and doesn't have a FUB buff, so it literally ends up weaker than Saisei's.

But then Shinka comes in and that's when you know they REALLY weren't giving a single fuck about game balance.

Might Gaine is the only one that does in that show though. And Gaine CAN control it, it's just more powerful with a human so they only do that when Great is in the picture (one episode had Hamada pilot Might Gaine and be a subpilot for Great, which was cool).

The Bombers and Divers have no pilots, neither does Might Gunner, and Might Kaiser isn't sapient.

As for the rest of the Braves, only a few are sapient and also have pilots. Gaogaigar, Captain Shark (arguably, Walter doesn't do that much piloting), J-Decker one time with a solid in story reason, and, uh... I guess you could be a pedant and say Shadow Dagwon?

And that is just where Z3 gets confusing because it's also obvious they didn't give a fuck about show accuracy either with all the dropped stuff or the look. So was there anything they did care about?

Remember how people both on 2ch and /m/ joked about the Mazinger's true power event being a simple stat boost and Z3-2 then actually made it the actual upgrade? The fans gave them the benefit of the doubt, everyone suspected it'd be a scripted event leading to a new original move.

It's one thing to make cynical jokes about game design but it's another when the dev go and prove there is a hint of truth in every joke.
