The launch date for the Homeworld Remastered mega 2.0 patch has just been announced for June 7th. Patch notes have not yet released but will probably at release of the patch.

It's going to add back in Ballistics, Formations and a bunch of other things. This patch has been a long time coming but I'm pretty excited.

Are you a shill? Or just too young to know you can't believe anything a dev says until it's you're playing through it? Let alone when Shitbox is involved.

Even if they add what they promised years ago, the implementation might suck. Plus does this mean HW2 will get a ballistic model? If so i might consider buying it this time around.

Just reading the comments makes me rage. They make fixing bugs which originally took 1 guy a few weeks to code from scratch without crunch time as if it was the ultimate coding challenge they solved, when they were the ones who broke it in the first place.

RIP deserts of kharak. Apparently they added a new DLC faction without telling anybody. Nobody plays it anymore. Sad that I missed out on multiplayer since I bought it on sale months after. I wish there were /v/ or at least /m/ groups for this game, but I haven't seen anything organized. I hope this patch brings back people who hated the remaster at first for fucking lots of stuff up. I know the HW franchise has a big fan community, but I can never find matches.

I'm holding out for that Complex remastered, and the stargate mod to be worked out. I also want tactical fleet simulator. They have a remastered version on the workshop, but I can't seem to get it to work.

Instead of lame DLC factions, they should do map packs/bonus missions. But it's obviously cheaper to just pay one 3d model guy and a few programers for factions rather than support voice actors, level designers, programers, and music people.

Over all I just wish these games were better supported. I feel if they had that settled, then people wouldn't have stopped playing so much.

Eh, I still feel that the flak they got over DNF is largely undeserved since it was pretty much entirely 3D Realms' fault that the game was in the state it was, Gearbox did the best they could to pick up the pieces from that clusterfuck.

My dick is hard as diamonds now. With formation and stance changes, I can actually command my strike craft to take evasive action at which point they start scrambling and flying everywhere to avoid gunfire from frigate turrets, or order aggressive so that they'll hold formation and circle around the target while blasting it with all their firepower. The ballistics system works too, if an enemy fighter is evading then my strike craft take a lot longer trying to hunt it down, and they survive a lot longer against frigates. It's like I'm actually playing HW1 again.
