What does /m/ think of Machine Robo - Revenge of Cronos? To the uninformed, it's a campy as fuck 20 minute toy commercial from the 80s, pretty much like transformers but with more 80s anime cliches like having a Kenshiro like main protag.

All the inhabitants were divided in tribes like the drill tribe, the rock tribe, the jet tribe, etc.
Rom and Leina just happened to be from the human-like tribe.
real explanation: "don't think about it and buy our fucking toys", which more or less also explains the series as a whole: Silly plot for most of the show but filled to the brim with sweet as fuck robot designs of all shapes and sizes.
