I really like a ton of Katoki designs, but I don't think there's a single one that's overwhelmingly my favorite compared to another designer's best work.

That's how I feel about Izubuchi DESU. He's probably the most solid and consistent mecha designer out there, but nothing he made has really wowed me.
Katoki's got some crazy shit like the Deep Striker and WZC, and Kshatriya is an absolute masterpiece.

The binders/fannel racks ruin Kshitrya imo, but the thighs seem disproportionate if you take it without them.
I greatly prefer the Sinanju, and even more so the Stein but ayy.

I don't understand people hating Katoki. The man is very good at making designs that hold up well when making them into models.

Katoki did the GP03 right? That's my favorite Gundam by design (without the huge pack). I like Kawamori a lot too but I feel he designs the fighters much more better than the battroids itself. His fighters look really cool and modern for their respective eras but his battroids look boring for me at least. Though this could be because I'm a big AC fan and appreciate the planes more. His Shinden II in Ace Combat looks pretty cool too.

I like his designs but 90% of the time, if not fucking more, his art is pretty bad. Like most of his designs though, but usually after they've been fettered with for kits. (Not Ver Ka shit just not his wonky big ass arms looking into the fucking sky proportions)
