A kangaroo-beetle-crab thing is naturally going to stick out more than another monochrome Gundam without a v-fin, but I wouldn't say that makes it attractive. I do wonder why it's always 'villain' mecha that get the most creative designs in any given anime, though. Ugly as shit I can understand, but when they're creatively ugly in such a way that it's obvious there was real thought put into it, it's kind of disappointing that they usually end up being one-off designs that only appear in one episode, y'know?

I got an MSiA action figure maybe a decade back of the Baund Doc.
It was an utter piece of shit. Since then I've always hated it (particularly as well that it's transformed MA mode looks like a retarded horseshoe crab that needs a looney toons-esque hatch to open so it can lift out its beam gun on a spindly accessory arm.
I have the strangest desire to rewatch Dragon's Heaven...
