Like what? I thought it summed up the series' view perfectly.
Seeing the hysterical mob unceremoniously beat Mars and having the situation degrade into mindless slaughter over various misunderstandings even after Mars had defeated the six gods and saved the world was the point.
In the end, the mistrust, greed and violence of the humans were their undoing rather than some supernatural alien force.
