Let's settle on medium brown. This is getting dangerously close to the point where we start comparing swatches of hair color from different brands to decide on proper hair color definitions.
The hair color depicted in the anime is significantly brigther for two reasons - It adheres to the usual practice of brightening up people's hair colors and playing with the hues, and that particular frame was taken from a brightly lit scene, something that we got very little of X-files.
Hell, they could have made him outright blonde, and that still would have been within the limits of reason for anime Western celebrity imitations.

Reminder: If you can not disprove or prove something, you are retarded for believing in it.
Hopefully, some of you will take this to heart and realize that maybe there's something you can do to help change it, even if the change is just yourself. The gravity function is an active system. Presumably he didn't expect it to give way so he didn't attempt to float on the "solid ground". Pretty sure it uses energy from the gravity control system so it would reduce the shield strength and mobility to float on flat ground. Notice how they don't float all the time but obviously sinking underwater would be bad for mobility.
Presumably the moment the ground broke the gravity system did kick in but it probably is very costly to float at a high height and since the ground gave way the mech would still fall gently into the sword.
Only the ship based gravity tractor beam has enough power to act at extreme distances. Otherwise the mechs should be able to fly.
As much as I empathized with Yukina last episode for being a young girl that was coerced into fighting a war which she wants no part in, I cannot help but think her attitude in this episode was unnecessary.
If you're scared of joining the battle and want to run away, then just run away. I doubt anyone would blame a 17 year old girl for not wanting to join a war with alien mechs. Even Ouma and her mom showed as much this episode.
If you're scared of joining the battle, but still want to do it, don't fish for praises or request people ask you to join nicely. Just admit what you want and get on with it. Seriously, you're volunteering to join in this instance, nobody owes you nothing. Do all kids these days act as self-important and entitled as this?
Oh, and can someone seriously kill the camera kid off already? Both he and the biker kid are annoying as fuck, the biker kid a bit less so. His constant disregard for self-harm in his quest for views is ridiculous. I kind of wish biker kid's dad actually punched him last episode and broke his camera or something. I don't get how a mini nuke and an Anti-air missile exploding at close proximity haven't been enough to kill him yet. At least take an arm or a leg off, he really doesn't deserve to remain in one piece.

I personally found the camera kid to be pretty endearing, between his chipper "holy shit look at all these sweet viewcounts" attitude and being stirctly on the sidelines. As long as he doesn't eat up too much screentime he is fun to be around.

Yukina was never going to actually run away nor not pilot the robot. She needed time to sort out her feelings, her uncle even plainly stated this within the episode.
The only reason she makes Kennosuke politely ask her is because she was trying to make him realize that he can't go around treating her like a tool, that she has free will and that Kennosuke himself should be direct yet considerate. This is the reason she got mad when Kennosuke began acting like she shouldn't pilot and that he was fine with going to a pointless death. Was it a little pouty of her? Sure. But it's not totally unjustified, nor was it the sole reason why she got in the robot.
The point went completely over your head and yet you have the gall to criticize the show itself. Don't worry, you're not the first or last fool to do this.
