Do anyone here draws /m/echa? I want to start drawing them but I'm mostly doing organic forms.
I'd appreciate any links or names to go search for, if anyone has it.
Also mecha drawings general.

Organic forms and shapes are good. Or at least, they're the kind I enjoy the most.
I've always thought the art direction in Killzone games were seriously underrated.
KZ3 especially.

This isn't mine.

tracing isn't art.
I don't always draw. But when I do... I prefer mecha.

Regrettably, I very rarely draw anymore. My mojo seems to have left me, for the most part.

That would be a dangerous joint to use.
>>14295390
you'd do well studying more concept arts, anon
>>14295399
yeah, looks a bit stiff.
I sometimes draw them, though they're pretty basic looking.

That's only the basic hinge idea, to show how bends. Just a rough -- I was researching joints that move that way. Obviously that's not the actual, complete mechanism.

Concept Art like >>14295294 and >>14295325? I've never been a fan of that stuff -- Hollywood and video game style stuff all looks the same to me, which is to say it all looks ugly to me. I prefer anime mecha, so that's what I focus on. And I've studied more mecha art than you or anyone you know. My skills aren't what I want them to be, and never will. But oh well, sometimes I try.

Can you do better?
I wouldn't dare compare myself to any of the true professional mecha designers, but OP asked if "anyone here draws /m/echa?" So I responded.
Anyway, one last piece.

woah lad
no need to be defensive

Pretty much: >>14295472
There are too many arrogant artists already. Don't need to contribute with the number. You won't make progress just because you think your work is THE SHIT. No one said you suck anyway, no need to react like that. Accept critiques and stop being butthurt about it.
>>14295490
wasn't even /ic/ levels of critique either
more artists need to chill out

One of these things is not like the other.
