Can we get a thread going for all the different ships in Gundam? Musais, flag ships, Magellans, what ever. I hardly ever see good pics of the vessels. All series welcome.
Not gonna lie, when I heard that the ship in Gundam AGE would transform, I figured it would be full on Macross style transformation, and... not what we got.
Shame, huh?
Why does it look like a giant beam rifle?
>>14291310
Any Ship schematics?
>>14291579
sort of?
>>14291310
I got a bunin' love for Albion. I wouldn't mind being catapulted from that boat if you know what I mean...
any wallpaper quality stuff?
Columbus-class gets no love and it makes me sad.
Supply ship, coming through.
>>14291310
The spartan is pretty cool
>>14291586
So where did they put the Gravity Block inside this horse?
I need to build more of the original ship kits. Cheap, fun and look pretty good painted up.
>>14293314
>>14293314
What manga is this ship from anyway?
>>14291586
I really hate meters as a measurement scale. It just doesn't translate into anything for me. If it said 150 ft, I'd know approximately how long it is, but meters are a complete blank.
>>14293547
I'm sorry, my little American-man.
>>14293547
Just multiply by three to get the approximate measurement in feet. It's not that hard.
Irish class ships are under-rated as fuck and deserve more love.
Axis Zeon still has the best designed ships and MS's imo
>>14294298
Zeta has the BEST ship designs in the franchise.
>>14294277
Now that looks like what a prototype mobile suit carrier could realistically resemble based on UC history.
Does the White Base look like a dog to anyone else?
>>14294304
>>14294298
Late UC designs are too bare-bones. I have no idea where the crew quarters would be on an Irish or Clop-class ship when you consider the size of the hangar, engines, fuel tanks, and bridge tower.
>>14294412
Looks more like a disguised or decommissioned ship adopted into something else.
>>14293547
I'm an american and 150 ft means literally nothing to me
>>14294734
It's half a football pitch.
>>14294412
>Does the White Base look like a dog to anyone else?
looks like a Sphinx more than anything else, which always confused me about their "Trojan Horse" nickname. its like they got their ancient historical monuments mixed up and just rolled with it.
>>14294422
Isn't that the point?
the Aswan refit pushes all the right buttons for me, even if it isnt actually in the manga IIRC. it combines the bulky profile of the Alexandria class with the colors and hardware of the Ra Callum, plus that suspiciously Zeonic command bridge and trio of mobile armors hanging off the prow to make it stand out from all the other EFSF lead ships.
Are we allowing smaller, support-type craft in here, or just battle ships? Cuz if we are, then I got to give some love to the best-named unit in the whole damn Gundam franchise.
>>14295700
I dunno, it looks a lot like a dog lying down with its head up.
>>14291592
>no love for this sexy unarmed beast
something elegant about the lack of any real weapons
>>14296808
Personally, I prefer the Ptolemy II. The first one is still a very sexy ship, though.
Inner schematics where?
>>14296128
thiiiis. I love the land battleships.

I'm an American and I'm fuckin sick to shit of my fellow Americans thinking for one second that USCS makes any degree more sense than the metric system

I think the Earth Alliance ships from Seed look amazing
>>14291310
>>14298495
>>14298346
They had a pretty good design. I especially liked the 150m Drake-class escorts. They put me in mind of PT boats.
>>14298504
>>14298495
I like how The Origin really makes the Federation ships look a lot less silly. They have the bulk to actually have crew quarters now, and turrets to defend themselves instead of just big beam guns. Why do later UC ships have external fuel tanks though?
>>14291770
I love the Columbus. I liked launching as a Public or a Saberfish in EiS, because you launch from a wing surrounding one of those bad boys
I'll throw out the Zeek equivalent. It's honestly my least favorite Zeon ship, but I like the design
>>14298572
I'm reasonably certain that the Papua was an animation error where they flipped over the original design by mistake.
>>14298495
I liked its first mode better desu.
>>14298681
was i the only one expecting this shop to turn into i gigantic gundam?
>>14298681
get that shit out of here
>>14295700
It's a Pegasus.
Zeon calls it the Trojan Horse because it had been registered as a transport, not a battleship. It was also set to carry the Federation's mobile suits and stationed at a neutral colony. A "supply" ship carrying mobile suits inside of it earned the Trojan Horse moniker.
Zeon calls every Pegasus class ship a mock trojan horse because of White Base.
>>14298681
Blasphemy!
>>14298681
I prefer the Dyaus and Baranoke myself.
>>14299361
I mean look at this motherfucker. It was made for slicing through ships at ramming speed.

1/100 White Base and Argama when?

gimme a minute and i'll give you an estimate in hectares and hadams
>>14300069
I'm British and I prefer Imperial; Metric is just as arbitrary as Imperial and was invented to try and separate Frenchmen from their previous culture.
The scale confuses me. I try to figure out the size compared to MS and humans and i just get confused.
>>14291310
Does /m/ considers tis a ship?
I've always liked the Salamis. A good workhorse design that served the Federation for nearly a century. Probably should be considered a symbol of the Federation on par if not more so than the GM.
>>14300320
Do you use stones or is that an urban legend?
>>14300605
No we consider that just stupid much like everything in the 00 movie hidden beneath all the beamspam sfx.
>>14300896
Yes. A stone is 14 pounds which is 16 ounces.

>>14303403
>>14303444
>>14303450
>>14300320
Metric is far more arbitrary actually
The distance from the south pole to paris divided by a million is a pretty stupid way to get a distance unit
>>14303034
Grey Phantom a best.
>>14303403
>>14303210
They look the same.
>>14303472
It's totally arbitrary.
>as equal to one ten-millionth of the distance between the North Pole and the Equator
Never mind that at the time nobody knew the actual location of the North Pole and basically meant the apex of the Earth sphere. And now, because we need a "real" definition for the meter, it's
>The metre is the length of the path travelled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299792458 of a second.
>>14303591
>>14303472
Not to mention it's origins are completely political; it comes from the same school of thought that tried to create new calendars with 10 days a week, etc. It's literally designed to divorce people from the past and promote an idea of modernity.
>>14301738
>630m
Damn it's a big ship. I wouldn't have known because of how little it appeared.
>>14304621
Does anyone happen to know what episode(s) the ZAFT dropship appears in? I've wanted to get some references for it, but I'm not in the mood to rewatch the entirety of SEED either.
>>14304942
Doesn't the drop pods appears in the first episode? I can't remember seeing the ship itself in the show however
>>14299635
is that two musai's slapped together to make a actually good ms carrier?
>>14298606
>>14299635
I believe.
I guess you could argue that the command section, living quarters, etc. are under the hangar, which would probably be heavier armored, but there's no real up or down in space.
Then again, the way the shutters look to open up would mean the MSs could do that thing where they power up their thrusters while attached to a bungee cord more safely when that bigger section has them covered from above.
>>14306530
>Then again, the way the shutters look to open up would mean the MSs could do that thing where they power up their thrusters while attached to a bungee cord more safely when that bigger section has them covered from above.
No up and down in space, remember?
Literally the worst ship name, but I kinda like the design
>>14306806
>Nana Buluku
it's sister ship was only a slight improvement.
>In Dahomey mythology, Nana Buluku is an androgynous Supreme Creator of the Universe and all that exists in it. Twins were born to Nana Buluku: the moon spirit Mawu and the sun spirit Lisa.[1]
weird.
anyone find it hilarious that in unicorn, angelo's stuckup lackeys are jeering at the nahel argama maintenance crew standing the MS "upright" in the internal hangars and saying it's a result of them being dumbfuck earthers?
despite the nahel argama was built in space by anaheim electronics and featuring upside down catapults? the sleeves' own flagship is the same damn thing, they also have mobile suits standing upright, and they also did that at palau which was the zeon asteroid base
>>14307519
Yeah, zeon are morons.
>>14307535
>>14307519
Wouldn't the suits get thrashed to if the ship went through re-entry going by the zeek's logic?
>>14301738
That looks amazing.
