>FUCK YOUR MECHS!

Kinda interesting that the idea of mass produced mecha is basically put off as a pipe dream in this episode.

It seems only highly specialized stuff that works off of superhumans powers is any good.

Did you watch the preview?
>>
NUTS mirrors the release of the first mecha show with a sentai-like team. If the timeline continued to mirror real life, mecha might get more popular as it enters the eighties.

Did you not listen to the keikaku master?

The NUTS are being put out of commission but he isn't making it public for the sake of goading the renegade superhumans into attacking them.
Since the preview seems more concerned with that fear mongering movie, it's pretty clear that they're only going to be a footnote in history.

Those two were being pretty huge pricks this week, I hope things get better for Jiro now that we're probably gonna learn the deal with Jiro

Like I said in the /a/ thread, this episode hasn't been kind to our boy.

I mean holy shit, this is getting too real.
>>
>>14287322
I'm pretty bad with the years in ConRevo, but exactly how old is Jiro around that time?
>>
>>14287328
Well according to /a/ he's literally 29-30 in that year.

Man, we'll see Jiro go through a midlife crisis before this show is over.
>>
>>14287289
It would be ironic if super robots actually gained popularity because the Jiro league attacks the NUTS to destroy/disable them for being extremely dangerous to the environment, it turns into Equus vs NUTS battles, and everyone starts to think that it's awesome and people then want more super robots to patrol their streets and skies to keep them safe from the renegade superhumans.
>>
>>14290211
That leading to robot cartoons being a thing would be hilarious.
>>
>>14287258
Concrete Revolution has nice concept but really feels like watching shitty fan fic
>>
>>14287308
Jiro was however really at fault for not trying to stop terrorist robocop and ultralesbiangirl in earnest.
Last time when Jiro tried to stop Raito from planned mass murder, he unleashed his inner kaijuu to knock some sense into him (and then install himself at Raito's home and watch TV and eat ramen).
>>
>>14290225
It really doesn't, shitposter-kun.
>>
Apparently, Tries corporation trying to bribe premierminister Tachibana into buying the NUTS mirrors the Lockheed corporation bribery scandal in Japan, when premierminister Tanaka received 3 million dollars in bribes.

Kikko and Chika.jpg

Another real life event inspiration in Concrete Revolutio

>On 14 August 1974 they (the East-Asia Anti-Japan Armed Front) tried to blow up the iron bridge over which Emperor Hirohito's royal train was travelling, which they code-named the "Rainbow Operation".
Raito destroys the bridge where the NUTS was transported by the Imperial Advertising Agency train, and Aki dons the helmet of the Rainbow Knight, naming herself Hikari Knight, trying to destroy NUTS.

Also, for the Kikko-spin off that details her life while Jiro was being a hobo for some years, she apparently meets another magical witch-girl named Chika.

It really does, sorry to burst your bubble.
>>
Kind of disappointed that the Getter references were just visual, rather than using some Getter energy counterpart to power up the super robots.

It's so weird how some reference characters go really into the original series' background and context, while others are just visual.
>>
>>14291504
Because that's literally all Getter is: just some crappy, generic surface thing. It has no background nor context to speak of, and it deserves no such respect in those regards since they don't exist anyway.
>>
>>14291108
You're trying too hard shitposter-kun
>>
>>14291504
>using some Getter energy counterpart to power up the super robots.
But they already have the power for the super robots, it's the same chemical that the not!Optimus used to kill the family.
>>
>>14291544

It wasn't said to be robot fuel at that point though. That was only revealed this episode.
>>
>>14291558
Yes, the same same episode they revealed the super robots, so there was no room for speculation
>>
>>14291539
It's the truth. Again, sorry to burst your bubble.

Nuts 1 was in the episode preview.

>shitpost=truth
You aren't even trying, right?
>>
>>14291504
Isn't getter energy just willpower or something like that anyway?
If getter energy is some kind of analogue to radioactive fuel, then the biodestroyer liquid ought to fulfill that criteria, being a molecular bond-disrupting chemical, aka your typical superdangerous energy source too risky to be used willy-nilly in everything, aka your typical radioactive energy analogue.
>>
>>14293315
Despite what Wikipedia might tell you, Getter Rays are not willpower, and they aren't particularly your other idea either
>>
>>14294507
Oh well.

I think Jiro got too comfortable about Raito. Yeah they may be BFFs now, but that doesn't change the fact that Raito is weasel-in-the-pants insane and needs to be kept in check constantly.
