holy shit it's an hexagon
Hexagon you say?
Could this get any more Engrish? God.
Fragment of Emperor? Really? You can't say "Imperial Fragment(s)"?
>>14286108
Getter Imperial
>>14286108
If you call it "Imperial Fragment" you kind of lose the impact of
>HOLY SHIT THIS THING IS A PIECE OF GETTER EMPEROR!
>>14286108
You really don't know how to English, do you?
Imperial fragment is not the same as Fragment of Emperor.
Imperial fragment would be a fragment of an Empire
Fragment of Emperor is literally a fragment of the Emperor.
You could potentially rearrange it as Emperor's Fragment, but I think it lacks the same impact/inflection. Either way, you're retarded. Chesto!
So it really is based on Arc like claimed in previous threads.
>>14286264
Well it does have a mouth.
>>14286108
Please at least check the original japanese before making assumptions. If you don't know Japanese, please do not make assumptions. It'll just make the community even worse and make people who actually know japanese mad.
I'm not fluent in Japanese myself but I can tell that much.It says 皇帝の欠片, the emperor's fragment. The original japanese text doesn't actually use the english word "emperor". Of course since this is Getter Robo it probably means Getter Emperor, but we're not sure yet. The translator assumed it is and translated it as "fragment of emperor".
In any case there was no engrish in the first place. Please be more responsible.
>>14286488
Actually never mind about the translator making an assumption, the next chapter Saotome literally says it is a fragment of Getter Emperor.
I feel like they're trying to do the new Getter manga by-the-books too much, you're never really surprised at anything. I haven't had a "wow holy shit" reaction like the ones I got when Ishikawa unveiled a 2-page spread with cool shit on it yet.
>>14286609
They're just in the first few chapters, and IMO this reveal was pretty great and has jerked the series from meandering to full dash. I'm still not a big fan of the Getter design outside of its head, but I think this manga will improve and deliver.
>>14286246
Except Emperor is spelled out in Katakana and isn't "teikou" like this is. Hence the name isn't the same as whatever robot that thing is.
>>14286488
Naming aside, doesn't explain for stilted google translated lines in the actual chapter.
FYI, 皇帝の means imperial :)
>>14286859
It also means "of the Emperor" or "Emperor's"
>>14286852
Stop ignoring posts like >>14286496
that undermine your shitposting.
>皇帝の means imperial
That would be 帝国の. 皇帝の is Emperor's. Weebs need to stay away from translating.
>>14286991
Anything "Emperor's" is by extension "Imperial".
>>14287053
And Imperial obfuscates the real meaning of the phrasing.
>>14287512
Don't bother replying to him. He can't even read the language he's trying to backseat translate, he's just here to shitpost.
The most disappointing thing so far in my opinion is that Shishikima's just a regular old scientist and not old crazy weapons dude. But I guess there's also time for that to change.
>>14287512
I do agree. But it's technically correct.
In the end, we do not KNOW it's about Getter Emperor. It might well be something else.
"Emeperor's Fragment" is probably the best phrasing.
>>14287527
His Gatling missile launcher was a thing of beauty.
>>14287631
>we do not KNOW it's about Getter Emperor
>>14286496
>>14287644
well, I haven't read the next chapter, obviously
Wait, if that's a fragment of the Emperor, does that mean something was powerful enough to break it into fragments?
>>14287756
DUHN DAHN DUHHHHNNN!
>>14287756
Dun Dun Dun!
>>14287765
>>14287766
>Dun Dun Dun Mind
Could this be the Will of Emperor?
>>14285764
OH MY GOD A GIANT HEXAGON
>>14287631
>I do agree. But it's technically correct.
No, it's not technically correct. If you could read kanji, you would know that it's plain wrong. Fuck off, dumbass.
>>14288031
Sorry, but >>14285768
beat you to it.
>>14288933
It's the usual tripfag attention whoring, hide/filter and move on.
"Fragment of Emperor" is the best translation. I'm both Jap and /m/

>>14287765

>implying he didn't break himself
>implying the thing will not start fragmenting and spreading to parallel universes and timelines and shit and thenstart regenerating and assuming control from those universes, assimilating himself and all realities into one single clusterfuck at the endi still waiting my getter beam voltekka
>>14289015
Don't you have to cry about being the victim in ww2?
>>14285764
I've got this.
My father is the artist of this manga. The fragment is a portal to other realities. Quote this.
>>14287756
Demonbane canonically destroyed it
