Superior was pretty great up until the awful rushed last arc and ending though. A good Spider-Man story is about making Peter suffer due to his choice to be a hero, and Superior was all about setting up a huge mess for Pete to return to.

It is a dumb fucking development, regardless of whether or not its implanted memories or actually true.
A "good" twist, was "No more Mutants" or Psylocke killing Archangel. Any number of things are acceptable. This and the Spidey "Death" were complete shit because they fly in the face of what makes the characters who they are.
We didn't need to see Ock pretend to be a hero to miss spidey, we already knows that what makes him a hero is him being Peter. Same with Cap. He's just a good dude, making him even appear to be the villain just doesn't jive. It makes you roll your eyes--and remember this is comics we're talking about where some mind mindbogglingly retarded shit is expected to happen.
