Turn A is the unification of the Universal Century timeline, the After War timeline, the Future Century timeline, and the After Colony timeline. They all lead into it.
I absolutely love 00S1 despite it's shortcomings. S2 is mediocre as fuck though and the movie is one of the worst things i have ever watched.

S2 is fine. In fact, I liked it just as much as S1. It has more of a traditional Gundam setting but is still an enjoyable ride throughout that's consistent with the story that's come before. The movie is a different beast altogether but, again, it makes sense in the context of the story which the series takes great pains to establish.
Honestly, I don't even see the show as separate seasons since each part complements the other and makes up for their individual shortcomings. It's really one big tale about how humanity "evolves" beyond its issues and starts venturing out into the space. Classic sci-fi plot very heavily inspired by Clarke and Asimov.
I want to say all of 00, but god damn do I love BF season 1.
