Damn, R-Type Final. That game has been haunting me for like 2 weeks. I should look up how it works on an emu.

I'll take a Disaster Report with a side order of a sunny-side-up Std.Force H.Bydo System Gamma is a real looker and high-powered to boot, it's like the Bydo version of the R-100's pointy aesthetics. Shame that the spookiest Bydo Wave Cannon is reserved for the good 'ol POW Armor.

Come on, I like R-Type (Delta is my fav), but Final was really bad especially compared to other shmups at the time like Gradius V.

To be honest I agree. I didn't like the gameplay of Final either. A lot of the time I wasn't sure as to what parts of the enviroment would or wouldn't kill me, and I found that I died often to unpredictable shit.
Great atmosphere and content though.

They made the two R-Type Tactics game after Final, with 2 having the best sequel subtitle: Operation Bitter Chocolate!
The game is not funny. The hilarious name is not indicative of the plot at all.
Even though it broke the game it debuted in like crazy, the R-90 is just too cool for me not to love. I'm almost certain they went with the atmosphere destroying rock music just to reflect how badassed the thing was.
