If only it didn't have that lame spike. If the Savior's head were replaced with the Zeta's, it'd be 10/10 for me. Body is well proportioned, legs could maybe do with more aggressive thrusters but are still very tasteful, transformation is great... it's just that fucking head. In the end, 8/10, could be better.

Much improved, but the head is still too tall for my taste. Although, with that color scheme, I think a Kimaris Trooper head would be amazing. Keep the height, but lose the thickness of the plume.

Impulse Gundam is one of my favourite Gundams. That super roboty launch and gattai to change specalties is great. I like the Destiny Gundam as well, though it's not as cool. Better than the first Seed which went from a good design to fucken Freedom, which I hate.

I've never liked Saviour, mostly because of that blocky bit of chest with the V-fin. The way the angular and rounded elements are also rather awkward, though that's featured on many Okawara designs.

Matter of opinion. I agree that picture of it is ugly, but that's Okawara, who can't draw well. Look at the fancy BEE-Craft detail-up redraw of the Sword Strike (since OP's pic is a model based on a BEE-Craft detail up redraw of the Impulse) and it's much better looking.

Not 'had a giant sword', 'had a giant saber', or 'also from SEED that's kind of similar', what suit had that concept of a backpack before with the giant metal swords hanging off. Sure the Impulse is just a retread of the Strike with the different silhoutte packs but it's also a homage to the old RX78-2 with it's core booster gimmick and the Fed logo on the shield.
Personally, I think the Impulse is much cooler than the Strike, especially the head.
