0079 probably, since by about the half way point the Gundam is out-classed by newer machines like the Gelgoog that out-do it in several ways. Amuro still destroys lots of enemies, but it's due to skill on his part rather than the machine being over powered and it's occasionally a struggle on his part to kill even mooks if I recall.
If you want grunt focus you're better off with one of the OVAs most likely, like 0080 or Thunderbolt.

08th. It's not really even a gundam, it's more like a GM with a gundams head stuck onto it.
Zeta is pretty good about this in the first half too. MkII is actually pretty average and later gets outclassed unless it's got its upgrade attached.

It's spergy as hell but I want like, just a single scene of a flat-footed robot vs a heels (don't know the technical name. split-foot?) robot fighting on an uneven surface, and the flat one keeps slipping everywhere while the one with heels can actually grip a surface. Heels supremacy.
