ZZ is so stupid.
Haman has the most agency of any female in any Gundam franchise (in Zeta anyway). Her actions, like how she set it up for Jamitov to be assassinated and how she fucking drove Char insane to the point where he remembered who he actually was and not just some goof in sunglasses, directly drive the plot forward.
I hate the fact that in ZZ she sits around and does nothing for almost 30 episodes when in Zeta she was going around carrying cyanide in her earrings ready to fuck shit up.
She is also a very complex character who is selfish, but you think there might be something more underneath that, like she had her heart fucking ripped out by a sociopath so she keeps herself constantly walled up and doesn't let people in. She sees Newtype understanding as a weakness. I love the fact that even though she is seen as ruthless she constantly spares Char's life. She has a gun up to his head at least twice, and both times she gives him a chance to either join her or die. She loves him, but she won't put that love before her own personal goals.
In ZZ she jeopardizes herself and her overall mission several times in order to get a chance to get with Judau's sweet poipussi, which actually makes me mad.
She is also a foil for Lalah. A super powerful Newtype who instead of being gentle and showing that you can use your power for good and UNDERSTANDING, you instead use it as a weapon in order to wreck people's shit the fuck up.
She's also a single mom, which is awesome.
tl;dr I love Haman and I think she is the best written female Gundam character of all time

That's only if you count main Gundam series, cause in stuff like Stardust, the best pilots are all non-new type given the unrivaled low level playing field where a guy who gets almost shot down in less than 30 seconds after the opening of the first episode becomes the scariest mother fucker despite running away for 90% of the show avoiding a rookie. Then again I highly doubt Gato could have beaten Burning on equal terms, the whole new generation deal was so forced it was pathetic. Burning with the Gundam would have ended the series at episode 3 max.
