Well, Mogudan/Nekopunch isn't even that exaggerated in that case, he's actually kind of tame when it comes to big proportions, Raita is already much more exaggerated and there's even worse than him.
Besides, you do know that Mogudan/Nakayohi also did some Asuka doujinshi with the normal anatomy and proportions of the original show?

Sadamoto is almost too far in the other direction, really. His characters only look good clothed, when you don't notice how absurdly skinny they are.
I mean, would I fap to it? More readily than Mogudan, sure. But I prefer something in between those two extremes.
I will however admit that I haven't looked at any of Mogudan's stuff in years. By Rei 3 or so, his anatomy had just gone beyond what I find actually sexy. So it's entirely possible he's scaled it back a bit or changed in another way since then.

Eva Production Committee had a member who is still at Gainax, whatever the deal he has as part of that for the current situation is unknown. What is know is that Gainax itself officially no longer has any ownership of anything Eva related. Whatever little, if any royalties it still gets through that member is indirect and can't really be considered as Gainax still being involved.

Go and check all merch from last year to now. Gainax Logo was removed and only Khara exists, NGE is included in the official KHARA website with copyright. The Eva manga last volume no longer says Gainax, it's Khara.
