For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, dont make the new people worry!

my first ever kit was in the early 2000s and they sold g gundam kits at toys rus. I bought the hyper mode shining gundam action figure and the regular shining gundam kit. I didn't know it was a model I'd have to build I just thought it was in a different box and it was a little cheaper so my dad would let me get both.
I get home and its on runners so i just punch all the pieces out put it together and play with it.
I'd love to find that kit now. I'm sure I have it somewhere.

I'm not discouraging them, or at least I didn't mean to.
But I'm not going to sugar coat either. My first build did look much better than that, not fantastic mind you, but I didn't panel line it either until a few months later.
Their first build doesn't look great, we can all agree on that, and I can see that they might have wanted to do some weathering, which shows they put effort into it. But they didn't panel line it, didn't trim the v-fins (though not really necessary), didn't fix up quite a few of the nubs, and it looks like there's glitter or sand all over it.
Hopefully, and I do hope they'll continue with this, when they build their next one they'll keep the feedback they get here in mind so they'll end up with a good looking end-product even they can be proud of and feel satisfied with when finishing. Something that'll make them do a post here saying "Just finished this, thought it turned out pretty good", not "Hopefully it is not too terrible".

Looking alright but I think you would benefit from spending more time planning and finishing pieces than just continuing to make stuff and glue it on. If you don't finish your pieces well they look like a robot made of cardboard.
Also #realgundamshavecurves. They're hard to do but you gotta or the look just feels weird. You can carve solid bar or use epoxy putty.

I still think it's nice and you're clearly having fun. Weapons are a really good way to learn how to go from start to finish. You start realizing things like that you need to start smaller than you want to end up if you want to add sunken surface details etc. It's just a good exercise in trying to make something that looks like it would come with a kit because it's smaller.
This gun was one of the first things I made from styrene and lots of it turned out to be crap but I learned a ton from it and would like to remake it one day because I was really happy with the overall shape and look of it, I just didn't have as good of a process. It's good to see people practicing scratch because it's a lot of fun and the key to doing whatever you want.
I finished this Knight Gundam today. It only took about 6 days to finish, but I need to find a more efficient way to prime. I went through two cans of primer just on this little guy.

If you're looking to pick up an SD, I would definitely recomment a Knight Gundam. It has perfect color separation, so it's very easy to paint.

No new weapon systems, no new option parts, gimmick bust stands which are kinda cool but so far some choices seem random. Origin no new announcements other then the local gundam type we knew about, only mg thunderbolt kits even though they had guncannon, dom, gm cannons in last few episodes. Choosing to spoil us with kits from try episode instead of other suits that wouldnt be spoilers. Only rg sinanju even though so many suits from unicorn that need hg love.
So so announcements was hoping for a absolute must buy but looks like I finally dont have to worry about back log growing for awhile.
