Alain fighting the Ganma unsuited while eating the takoyaki was hype as fuck. Then followed up by the tri-rider fight against the Ganmaizer that was also hype as fuck. Really good episode.RIP Fumi

Inserts can have weird timing sometimes, especially if they're supposed to be ones where the actors sing. Remember how OOO didn't have Shout Out ready in time and didn't end up using it until the movie?
I'm really impressed with how fast the pace can be with some of these episodes. They went through a lot of different scenes, including a pretty good fight and a pretty great one.
Also I'm a total sucker for triple Rider Kicks.

Why is Takeru so nothing? Makoto and Alain are both way more interesting than him. Its my one big problem with this show

Takeru's soft-spoken and focused on helping other people with their problems ahead of giving thought to his own, including that one time his life literally depended on it. This makes him stand out less when compared to Makoto and Alain, who focus more on personal arcs, because Takeru's arc is presented through how he responds to those of the people around him.
Alain's also gotten a shitload of focus to make his face turn convincing instead of "oh I guess I'm not evil anymore".

You forget that Ganma can choose to be visible if they want to be. I mean, it still doesn't make much sense that they'd choose to be at this point, but whatever.
On top of that, I continue to have a suspicion that once you've BEEN a Ganma/Eyecon, you henceforth have the ability to see Ganma without pixie dust. Which would explain Alain, Makoto, and Kanon's ability to see them unconditionally.
I sorta wish Makoto and Alain losing the ability to see their enemies without being transformed was a plot point, though. Could have been interesting for an episode or two.

With Takeru it's a little bit of a twist in that if anything he seems to actively ignore the problem even exists when possible, especially in this second arc where he pays virtually no attention to the fact that he's still on a timer. This is fairly consistent with ghost lore: ghosts often don't realize they're dead and keep going about as if they were still alive. I don't know if they're intentionally going for Takeru being the sort of person who pretends he doesn't have any problems, but it wouldn't be surprising.

Actually, Kanon can't. There's an entire scene that's dependent on her being unable to see ghosts, where she has a conversation with Alain at the top of a hill while Takeru's fighting a Ganma at the bottom. We see the scene from both of their perspectives, with Alain able to see the fight and Kanon unable to.
My guess is they consider having the Specter and Necrom Eyecons on their person to be good enough as far as enabling Makoto and Alain to see ghosts. In the building, it made sense for them to be visible because the building fight was a ruse to convince everyone that Bills and his company are on their side, part of which was Bills taking a hit.

They were never actually sure Deep Connect was up to something shady, and Igor set the whole thing up with Bills so they'd think the company was innocent aside from whatever small part Igor had been using. They've got Bills' word he's investigating and they think they can trust him, which Igor will use to set up further schemes later.

I liked it more that Alain was finally able to overcome it on his own. The eye symbols on their chests are supposed to be able to generate energy through heroic willpower, so Alain finally being able to use it once he was a real hero is fitting.
And don't worry, we'll be seeing the end of Grateful in about two weeks. It'll be banished to the Type Formula zone and never be seen again.
