Sister Moe Bottoms
Posted Marushige Posted 2009/6/19
Format: Comic
"The other staff of the soon young people who because fans have also taken a year, in terms of the Gundam" I think I say even if there is a G Gundam "specific Bottoms"

It is Kunio's comments Okawara of the mechanical design, but there I was I already.

It too is also not appropriate in the world of Votoms in "Moe".

Hero is a girl, and more "sister".
Enemy commander and girls.
Girl Even Kuento people.

Such only girl so far (?) Bottoms is or would not the first time. But bandits delegation looks exactly like the hero and the monster of "Good morning children Show" is a secret (laughs)

Colored article ish and write like this, but quite fun to taking advantage of a decent view of the world and setting. Kana feel close to "mellow link"?

But I like this author Paburubea. I am using to downgrade AT Yet bandit groups and the regular army for Batoringu ...

Seriously man. You've been posting gibberish here and there for a while. And I think you're behind the Japanese gibberish too?
I'm not even mad. I'm legit curious who you are and what your shtick is.
>>
>>14210575
I was just posting a review from amazon.co.jp on this manga that I thought was interesting. I also think it's amusing that Google auto-translates "ボトムズ" as "Bottoms." This dude seems to think the manga's aight, though it tries super hard to be moe. I've occasionally done this in the past, and by "the past," I mean stretching back over a period of a few years.

I think the only time where I spammed gibberish like this was when I started a thread where I'd run random 2chan posts on mecha anime through Google Translate and throw them up here without context. Usually, though, I feel like there's enough context from my posting of Amazon reviews that people will get it, but I'm also a terrible judge of what other people want.

ATM-09-RSC: gliding wheel speed (dry weight): 83 km/h; gliding wheel speed (full combat weight): 52 km/h; gliding wheel power: 245 hp; gliding wheel torque: 58 kg/m

Also, new question: How exactly were Chirico and Fyana able to pilot Fatties in Sunsa? I mean, given that its Balarant, and that the two are more used to Gilgamesh equipment, wouldn't they have had a problem piloting them?

Cockpit layouts are very similar. The chief difference being the hand controls being moved to the sides of the cockpit instead of being on a central pedestal. Also given the Chirico is special forces and Fyana is a Perfect Soldier, it is entirely reasonable to suspect that they have been trained on foreign equipment.
>>
>>14229910

I see, and speaking of Fatties, when Rochina made Chirico fight Ypsilon near the end of the Sunsa arc of the TV series, why did he just give Chirico a Scopedog? Why couldn't he just let Chirico use a Fatty?
>>
>>14230133
Because that is his natural habitat.
>>
>>14231609

All right then, thanks.

Given that they resumed the Hundred Years' War at the end of the TV series, any in-universe reason why Gilgamesh nor Balarant made newer ATs to ride into battle against each other?

Nothing specific is really given. However, as you said the Balarant and Gilgamesh did just finish a 100 year interplanetary war on a scale that is not easily fathomed. It would not be surprising if they are running low on resources.

That would be ill advised given it's highly reactive tendencies. It is my understanding that the Roundmovers use compressed air or gas like the EVA MMU packs currently used in Earth orbit. I'd have to poke around awhile for the exact details.

We actually see it in episode 1, and then we never see it again. The GAT-35 Long Gun is the weapon you reach for when you want to take down a battleship. The downside is that it is huge, heavy, and takes time to charge for a single shot.

Also seen in the final episode IIRC, where one Gilgamesh Scopedog tried using it on Chirico, only to fail. Thanks anyways.

They might be based off the kinds of rocket pods that attack helicopters carry. At the kind of ranges and the sort of combat role that an AT would have in battle, a cheap dumbfire rocket pod seems to be a better fit than one or two expensive guided missiles.

Guided missiles are more for anti-tank or anti-aircraft purposes, and ATs don't really perform either of those roles.
>>
>>14261730

But given that vehicles, as well as ATs, aren't stationary targets, wouldn't missiles be better?

>>anti-aircraft purposes, and ATs don't really perform either of those roles.

That reminds me, given how ATs are made in the millions, how come they haven't made a Scopedog variant for anti-air purposes anyways?
>>
>>14261837
the smaller the rocket, the harder it is to integrate a guidance mechanism into it, and the less room you leave for the warhead, the smaller the effect it'll have

>how come they haven't made a Scopedog variant for anti-air purposes anyways?
I don't think I've ever seen any aerial vehicles in the votoms universe except for transport planes and helicopters, which an AT's normal loadout of 30mm autocannon, 50mm bazooka, or rockets is good enough against low flying aircraft like helicopters or the AT landing craft.
>>
>>14261855

>I don't think I've ever seen any aerial vehicles in the votoms universe

There were the A-39 bombers used in the final episodes of the Kummen Arc, and the Balarant B-FH-14 Peteshia space fighters.

Also, there doesn't seem to be a Minovsky Particle equivalent for VOTOMS, so why would having missiles be a problem?
>>
>>14261867
I never said having missiles would be a problem, but that it's not really something that is in the AT's usual combat roles.
>>
>>14261875

But wouldn't missiles be more useful in making sure enemy ATs don't escape, because if you try firing a rocket at a moving AT? wouldn't said AT just dodge it easily?
>>
>>14261883
Depends. In real life, a guided missile needs time and distance to begin tracking and chasing toward a moving target. They're longer ranged weapons than most people assume. Some of the most advanced portable weapons systems like the Javelin or the Stinger needs a minimum distance of at least 150~200 metres. That means being quite some distance away from the target.
>>
>>14261902

I see, thanks.

New question: Any reason why Rochina became insane in between the TV series and Shining Heresy? I mean, in Big Battle, he seemed to have calmed down after Chirico killed Wiseman in Quent, yet he's cackling mad in Shining Heresy?
>>
>>14262909
No idea really. When we leave him initially his voice is cracking and he's looking a little unhinged. Then Big Battle came along and he's completely back in control and the Gilgamesh Confederation suddenly has Rabidlydogs.
>>
>>14267877

I see. Thanks.

How exactly is Monad from Pailsen Files supposed to be a planet? I mean, given its appearance, shouldn't "ancient satellite weapon built by the ancient Quentians" be more fitting?
>>
>>14267914
Mass mainly. A boulder is a boulder until I chuck it out of Earth's gravity well. Also keep in mind most people, even the Quentians, have no knowledge of that period of history.
>>
>>14233309
Dunno if it's just me but Episode 13 ATV doesn't work, I use VLC. but otherwise decent thusfar.
