People are either going to like power rangers or tokusatsu like it in general for one of two reasons, nostalgia or because they embrace the goofy shit. The remake actually tried to do something original and I thought it wasn't all that bad. I usually hate remakes, but there was some work put into the revamp. The MMPR remake has nowhere near the kind of effort that Robocop 2014 had and you know it before any trailer is released.

Honestly, I always really liked the armor costumes from the first movie. They were just right. And we saw the same kind of excellent enhancement again with the Super Samurai cockpit armors.

It's not that they just look like cheap iron man knock offs, the actual stylings of them are horrendous. It isn't clear what they are trying to do or say with the outfits, it is a mess where you don't know what exactly you are meant to be looking at
