In the time it takes to watch this thread for replies you can watch both movies. "Is it worth it" is something you can only decide for yourself in the end. Not only are we talking about a series that is worth a rewatch (even just with movies), it's not like you have anything better to do with your time.

Yes, there is better animation in the movies. Be sure to find the official subs, because the crabsticks are impossibly hard to understand

Any idea where one can find the official subs? Got the official ones for the series, but not for the movies.

OZC has them. If you want to use EG's encode, just download both, extract the subs using whichever programme you want and then load them. If you want to, open it in Aegisub and fix all the Guin Lineford changes OZC made to Guin Rhineford.
There's some nice new music too.
