Where is this from? My friend says it's either a Getter anime or one inspired by Getter.

Looks like a screenshot out of Hellsing.
I reverse Google image searched it, and it looks like it's from Ushio and Tora.

Checked an Ushio and Tora wiki and you're right. Thank you. Now I can tell off my friend.
>>14173428also watch Ushio and Tora, its pretty fucking good

I can see why.

You make no sense.

Given that Inoue of all people is writing for that, that's reassuring (although I suspect it's because the original author himself is keeping a tight leash on him).

I was gonna say the same thing.

Weren't you around for Galaxy Angel where the guy literally single-handedly fought not just the creator but all of Broccoli, and did crazy shit like strong-handing Murakami (the guy who plays Kusaka in 555) into the show as a character named "Kaixa Murakami"?
If he really wanted to do something he'd do it.

In fairness, Inoue is better when he doesn't take anything seriously at all (in the post-Agito days, anyway). I heard of his involvement in Galaxy Angel, but damn that's impressive if all that's true, though I don't doubt the Murakami part. If only he was around for Rune.

It was pretty widely documented back in the day that Broccoli's suits were troubled about how the show was nothing like the game (the game was supposed to come first with the show based on it, but was delayed) and were worried about the impressions it would leave on viewers and the influence it would have on the game's audience, but Inoue fought them off and the show went on for... what, five seasons?
I can't find any videos of Kaixa Murakami but here's a screencap, he's in episode 9 of Galaxy Angel X (season 4).
